1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a watch for service or using this website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Use of this website and our services constitutes acceptance of these terms.

3. Services Provided

Mongkut offers the following services for mechanical watches:

Services are available to clients in Thailand and by arrangement to clients elsewhere. We reserve the right to decline a service request at our discretion, including where a piece falls outside our technical scope.

4. Service Process and Scope

Before any work begins, Mongkut will provide a written estimate outlining the proposed scope and indicative cost. No work will commence without the client's agreement to that estimate.

If additional work becomes necessary during the service, Mongkut will contact the client to discuss the options and obtain approval before proceeding. Work will not be extended beyond the agreed scope without explicit consent.

Timelines are estimates based on typical cases. Mongkut will inform the client if a delay is anticipated, but we do not accept liability for delays caused by parts availability, third-party suppliers, or circumstances beyond our control.

5. Client Responsibilities

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, layout, and visual design — is owned by Mongkut. You may not reproduce or repurpose any content without written permission.

7. Payment

All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due on collection of the piece unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash and bank transfer. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at intake.

Prices are subject to change. Quoted prices are valid for the scope agreed in the written estimate. Additional parts or work agreed during the service will be invoiced separately.

Refunds: Where a service has not yet commenced following payment of a deposit, a refund of the deposit may be requested. Once work has begun, refunds are not available except where Mongkut has materially failed to carry out the agreed service.

8. Service-Specific Terms

Dial and Hands Refinishing: Cosmetic outcomes depend on the condition of the piece on intake. We do not warrant that fading or oxidation will be completely reversible in all cases. Scope is agreed with the client prior to work beginning.

Chronograph Servicing: Service covers the agreed scope. Pre-existing damage to movement components may affect post-service performance; any such conditions will be noted at intake.

Curatorial Overhaul: Carried out to preserve authenticity where possible. Where genuine replacement parts are unavailable, options will be discussed with the client. Mongkut does not claim to restore a piece to new condition.

9. Disclaimers

Services are provided on the basis of the condition of the piece as assessed at intake. Mongkut does not warrant specific outcomes, including accuracy targets, beyond what is stated in the written service agreement.

We are not responsible for pre-existing faults that could not reasonably be identified before opening the movement. Where such faults are discovered, the client will be consulted.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, Mongkut's liability in connection with any service is limited to the cost of that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of value to the piece arising from pre-existing conditions.

In the event of loss or damage attributable to Mongkut's negligence, our liability is limited to the replacement value of the piece, capped at ten times the cost of the service performed.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Mongkut against any claims arising from your misrepresentation of ownership of the piece submitted for service, or from your breach of these terms.

12. Termination

Either party may cancel a service before work begins without penalty, subject to any deposit terms agreed. Once work has commenced, cancellation will be subject to a fair assessment of costs incurred.

Mongkut reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service where a piece presents safety risks, where the client provides false information, or where continuing the service is not practicable.

13. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we ask that you contact us in the first instance at [email protected]. We will aim to resolve any concern within 14 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any unresolved disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangkok.

14. General Provisions

15. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance.
